Also known as semi permanent makeup, is a procedure that uses a specialised tattooing technique to enhance facial features such as eyebrows, eyeliner and lips. It involves implanting pigment into the upper layers of the skin to create a natural, long-lasting look.
Unlike body tattoo’s, it is not permanent, some areas/pigments however may leave a longer lasting result than others.

Depending if you’re getting a brand new cosmetic tattoo or a refresh, and the area involved, it can anything from 1.5 to 3 hours. This includes a consultation, mapping, colour consult, numbing and the tattooing.
-
YES! All of our sessions include a thorough consultation, specifically the first one where we spend majority of the appointment mapping, adjusting and discussing your brow goals
-
The results of cosmetic tattooing can last between 1 to 3 years, depending on the individuals skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. Factors like sun exposure, skincare routine, and your body’s natural response to the pigment can affect how long it lasts. A refresh is typically required every 1-2 years to main the colour and shape.

No it doesn't hurt, you may feel a little discomfort in the first few seconds while the numbing is setting in, but after that most people are relaxed enough to go to sleep. Enjoy the quiet time and rest while we work our magic.
Once booked in you’ll receive an online link to order your numbing product straight from our recommended compounding pharmacy.
This product is medical grade so you will not feel any discomfort – free naps included!
-
You don't have to do anything, but we recommend you do order the numbing from the link we send you. Don't waste your money with the stuff from the chemist, it's rubbish.
The numbing is enough for both your initial and touch up session, and we will store it in the salon ready for you. Make sure you select the cheaper option to get it shipped direct to us so it's ready for your appointment when you turn up.
Your comfort is one of our top priorities, and this will ensure you a relaxing time, you may even doze off during the session.
-
We advise you in your booking confirmations, NO ALCOHOL for at least 24hrs before the procedure, and ideally NO CAFFEINE 48 hrs before (if you can't go that long, as least 24hrs before your appointment).
The reason is to avoid excessive bleeding. It's very tricky to implant pigment into the skin when you are bleeding, and the blood is forcing the pigment back out of the skin.
And for those die hard coffee addicts, don't try and sneak one in thinking we won't notice, we do, it just makes our job alot harder and you may not get the best optimal results that you could have if you avoided the caffeine for just a little bit.
-
NO absolutely not. Unlike body tattoo's, we are working at a superficial layer in the skin, that we actually want to work with the existing brow hairs. No hairs will be removed, unless they are outside of the brow shape, and only removed to make your brows look even better.
-
Avoid alcohol/caffeine for 24hrs (ideally 48hrs) before your appointment.
Avoid blood thinners like aspirin for 72hrs before your appointment.
Do not use skincare products with retinol and acids in the treatment area 3 days before your appointment.
Avoid tanning or sun exposure before your appointment.
Follow the specific preparation instructions provided on the consultation form.

Our goal and main priority at Dekure Beauty is to ensure it looks as natural as possible. We love it when people say they’ve had so many compliments and people haven’t been able to guess it’s because they have had the area tattooed. That’s goals!
-
When performed by a trained professional using sterile equipment, cosmetic tattooing is safe. We adhere to strict hygiene standards and use high-quality, hypoallergenic pigments. It’s important to disclose any medical conditions or allergies on your consultation form before your procedure.
-
We understand, this is a huge worry for alot of people, but rest assured nothing is done until we've gone through a thorough consultation and discussed all your options, as well as mapped out your shape and discussed colours etc.
Our gentle techniques actually put alot of people to sleep during their appointment, and the way we work, the results we're looking for are always with your long term goals in mind. We won't do anything that you're not comfortable with, and won't start until you're 150% happy.
